London-based artist Alfreda is back with her newest single, "Frankie." This track blends old Hollywood glamour with modern soundscapes, completing the narrative arc of her Motherโs Makeup EP. It starts with raw, emotional melodies reminiscent of John Lennon and evolves into a vibrant 70s disco anthem.
Alfreda describes "Frankie" as a tale of lust, obsession, and mistaken identity, rooted in a personal experience. After a brief encounter with someone who got her name wrong, she created the persona of ‘Frankie.’ "Frankie is easy. Frankie is a good time girl. Frankie messes around and doesnโt get hurt," she explains.
But there’s more to Alfreda than just her music. She also hosts a cabaret-inspired residency, "Bedroom Tales," at London’s House of KOKO. To promote her debut EP, she’s taking a unique approach with a โBedroom Tour,โ performing in private bedrooms across England. This tour further cements her as a captivating new voice in contemporary music.
