Empathy’s Dark Alt-Rock Production Jeffrey

Northside Dublin alternative rock quartet, Empathy, draws us into a world of moral corruption with their heavy, dark debut anthem โ€œJeffrey.โ€ The track takes a psychological dive into Jeffrey Dahmer’s twisted mind.

A brutal production built on eerie tones and non-stop shadowy intensity, โ€œJeffreyโ€ is a roaring and ferocious offering. Itโ€™s brimming with dystopian guitar riffs that morph into rhythmic distortions and powerful vocals. The track unfurls in a first-person narrative, encapsulating pain with a macabre, personal approach.

Speaking of the track, the four-piece says, โ€œJeffrey is an interpretation of the internal struggles and moral wranglings of one of the most well-known serial killers of the 20th century. We wrote the song to investigate Dahmer’s descent from ideation to reasoning; and eventually to his indulgent actions, and relishing in his vile nature.โ€

Conceived by singer/guitarist Dean Nolan and drummer Adam McCarthy as far back as 2017, Empathy makes a memorable first impression with their bold sonic tales.
